The Shard, also referred to as the Shard of Glass, Shard London Bridge and formerly London Bridge Tower, is a 95-storey supertall skyscraper, designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, in Southwark, London, that forms part of the Shard Quarter development.
The TYKE is installed at the Shard. Supplied as a single assembly, installation of the luminaire is simple; the TYKE fits discretely through a minimal cut-out with the head on a flexible lead and the driver and batteries compactly contained within an articulated enclosure. The emergency signage within the building consists of variations on the 250 range. The Shard’s commercial floors offer a large-scale example of office emergency lighting across multiple storeys.
