Founded in 1994 the Malmaison Hotel Group offers accommodation across the UK , mainly in City locations. Following its closure in 1996 the Oxford prison buildings were converted as a part of a large heritage complex, with the Malmaison hotel occupying a large part of the prison block with original cells converted into rooms.

Cantilevered Philip Payne exit signs were used to project out onto the “landing” areas along with other wall and ceiling fixed exit products that feature in corridor and entertainment areas including the roof garden.
